Paul oversees the operational and development areas of LifeCare Residences in the UK.  He is responsible for the governance framework in the UK and is the primary point of contact between the principal advisers and the shareholders.  Paul has over 20 years of experience of working with real estate rich businesses that operate across the UK and Europe.  He was involved in the building of the O2 Arena in London and has worked for hotel companies including De Vere, Malmaison and Generator.  Paul also spent time with Lloyds Bank.

Andrew is the director responsible for governance across all the Cook Family group’s investments.  He held the position of CEO for the majority shareholder, Private Health Care (NZ) Limited, and its management company NSI Management Limited, from 2010 until 2020.  Prior to joining NSI in 2006, Andrew spent over 20 years in corporate and investment banking in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Scandinavia.

Neville’s appointment to the Board represents the continuation of the Cook Family legacy, having been involved with retirement communities throughout his life.  Neville is responsible for all the Cook Family’s aged care and property investments.  Neville was previously Development Director of LifeCare Residences and successfully delivered flagship assets Remuera Rise in NZ and Battersea Place in London.  Prior to this, he worked for several years in New Zealand for high-end hotel and apartment developers.

Gary is responsible for the successful operation
of all LifeCare’s UK retirement villages and
nursing homes and brings a wealth of experience in people management, as well as specialist skills in sales and marketing. Prior to joining, Gary was a founder member of specialist retail and hospitality recruitment consultancy, Retail Human Resources plc, which became a market leader, winning several quality accreditations including Investors in People and ISO 9001:2000. Gary has specialised in process improvement and business transformation.

Sunena is a practising solicitor, trained in a
city law firm acting for businesses and high-net- worth individuals. Sunena worked in the independent school sector, primarily advising on company, commercial, charity, education, equality, safeguarding and immigration law. She
has advised on a range of legal areas throughout
her career and secured significant changes to UK
policy and legislation.

Siraj is responsible for the group’s finance function, supporting strategic planning, daily
operations as well as the funding requirements
for new investments.
Siraj attainted his Higher Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting at Rhodes University and qualified as an Associate General Accountant (SAICA) with
PwC in South Africa. Prior to joining LifeCare
Residences in 2017, he worked with Ecolab as a Senior Business Partner, overseeing the finance sector of their sub-Sahara operations – driving rapid growth and expansion into new territories, as well as leading the restructure into a sustainable, profitable business.
